Hot n Sour Vegetable Soup

Had it been a cold day or warm, I just love to sip hot, sour, spicy soup anytime. Indeed it is a pleasure for everyone during cold winter days or when anyone is suffering from cold or so. Some days it so happen that I end up drinking vegetable soups for lunch even thereby I skip over my lunch. Well I somehow manage to get all proteins and carbohydrates and vitamins together with that soup. I here share with you all a hot and sour soup but full loaded with veggies to compensate the energy supplements.

Carrots-1/2 bowl finely chopped
Onion-1/2 finely chopped
Garlic-minced-1 tsp
Ginger paste-1/2 tsp
Spring onion/scallions-1/2 bowl chopped
Capsicum/Paprika-1/2 bowl chopped
Cabbage-1/2 bowl finely chopped
Soya sauce-3-4 tbsp.
Chilly sauce-2 tbsp.
White Pepper powder-1 tsp
Salt to taste
Corn flour-2 tbsp.
Oil-2 tsp.
Water- 3 cups+3 tbsp.

  1. Get ready with all chopped vegetables.
  2. In a pan heat oil and when hot add spring onions, onion and sauté.
  3. Then add carrots, sauté.
  4. Now add capsicum, give a mix.
  5. Then add cabbage and mix till tender.
  6. Once little tender and soft add soya sauce, mix.
  7. Add chilly sauce and mix thoroughly.
  8. Prepare a mixture of corn flour with 3 tbsp. of water
  9. Now add 3 cups of water and give a gentle mix.
  10. Then goes in white pepper powder and salt to taste. Add salt if required because soya sauce contains salt content.
  11. Bring it to a boil, once done add the corn flour water mixture to this with constant stirring.
  12. Cook for a while and your hot and sour vegetable soup is ready. Garnish with spring onion greens and serve piping hot.

Enjoy the dish! n don't forget Eat and Eat little MORE.. :)
