Come lets learn a Simple yet Tasty Dessert!
Sheera aka Sooji halwa/Rawa kesari
Ingredients:
Rawa-1cup
Water-2 1/4 cups
Sugar- 1 1/2- 2cups (Reduce or increase as per taste)
1 tsp milk
Saffron-2 strands
Cardamom/elachi-2 pods crushed
ghee-half cup
Dryfruits(Cashews,dry grapes)-fistful Any dryfruits of your choice
Recipe:
Dissolve saffron strands in a tsp of water or milk
Add ghee in a pan
Fry cashews and dry grapes.Once golden,add rawa and fry in a low heat till golden n aroma starts coming.
Now add water and stir well continuously.
Now add saffron milk.
Once water is about to evaporate,add sugar and keep stirring.Add crushed elachi or cardamom to it and mix well.
Once it comes to halwa consistency pour on a plate and let it cool.Cut into desired shapes n serve :)
