Sugar-1 cup(Adjust to your taste, I have a big sweet tooth,so quantity of sugar is on higher end)
Melted Ghee-2 tbsp
Cardamom powder/Crushed cardamom-a pinch
Recipe:
- Take soft paneer and just crumble it,do not knead the paneer as you need that same texture to get perfect kalakand. In a wide mouth non stick pan, add 1 tbsp ghee and add paneer to it and saute till they get cooked a little in ghee.
- Now add condensed milk and cook with continuous stirring for a while.
- At one stage the mixture begins to thicken, at that time add sugar and mix well.
- Now after stirring for a while, when the mixture again begins to thicken add cardamom powder to it and mix well.
- At regular intervals of stirring add 1 tbsp ghee little by little and mix well.
- Now keep stirring till you get the entire mixture together like a dough.
- Transfer it to a greased plate and pat it with a spatula or palms, take care as not to burn hands because the mixture will be too hot.
- Pat well and let it cool down a little.
- Cut it into desired shapes and enjoy this delicious dessert.
