Recipe:
- Mix all the dry ingredients, rava, rice flour, maida, cumin seeds, green chillies, curry leaves, grated ginger and salt. Now add water slowly with constant mixing to avoid formation of lumps.
- Make batter with consistency equivalent to buttermilk consistency.
- Chop onions fine and keep aside.
- Now grease a flat hot griddle/tawa and sprinkle chopped onions on it.
- Add/sprinkle batter using a spoon little by little and cover entire onions that are sprinkled.
- You could very well use hands for sprinkling the batter.
- Let it get cooked uncovered on a medium to high flame. It takes good amount of time to get cooked.
- Once done smear oil on top and take off the dosa from the tawa.
- Serve hot onion rava dosa with any chutney of your choice. We served with tomato thokku and cilantro coconut chutney. It is tasty as such also.
Enjoy the dish! n don't forget Eat and Eat little MORE.. :)
